Petit Planet Bond system, explained

Bond is the friendship track for invite neighbors. It unlocks talents, dialogue, Homi Decor requests and the small daily rituals that make a planet feel lived in.

How to gain bond

Bond becomes available once an invite neighbor has settled on your planet. Base neighbors such as Mobai and Glenn do not use the system. You raise bond by chatting, giving gifts, inviting the neighbor to dinner, completing their Vignette, finishing Homi Decor requests, hanging out and completing random daily interactions.

The daily limits matter more than the activity list. Only the first chat in a 24-hour server day awards bond, typically 1–2 points. You can chat more often for flavor, but the bar will not move.

  • First chat of the day: 1–2 bond points.
  • Loved gift: typically 2–4 bond points.
  • Liked gift: typically 1–2 bond points.
  • Disliked gift: refused, no bond.
  • Dinner, Vignettes, Homi Decor and daily interactions: additional bond opportunities.

Gifts and daily limits

You can give one gift per neighbor every 24 hours. The quality of the reaction is based on the neighbor's preferences: loved items give the biggest boost, liked items give a smaller one, and disliked items are refused so you can try again.

Gift categories matter as much as specific items. A neighbor who likes “Natural Fiber” will accept any furniture or material tagged that way, while a “Contains Seafood” dislike rules out a whole recipe group. Use the gift finder when you are short on a specific loved item.

Bond levels and talents

Each neighbor has a personal Bond track. Talents unlock at specific levels and are mostly quality-of-life perks: Yunguo waters crops at level 5 and builds a Crop Garden at level 8; Tika clears wildgrass at level 4; Rebella unlocks stone guessing at level 4; Isaki unlocks Epic Beetle Brawl at level 8.

Homi Decor unlocks at Bond Lv. 6, which makes the middle of the track more valuable than it first appears. If you want to decorate a neighbor's house, plan gifts around that level.

Homi Decor and late-game bond

At Bond Lv. 6 you unlock Homi Decor, which lets you furnish a neighbor's house. Requests come in two waves: Basic everyday furniture first, then Wish items from the neighbor's specific set after a short wait.

Completing sets awards Dough and Bond Boost items. It is one of the best ways to convert furniture duplicates and crafting time into friendship progress.
