Why keep a creature checklist?
The in-game Omnidex is the source of truth, but it is not always easy to see what is missing at a glance, especially when a species is seasonal or islet-only. A simple checklist helps you plan a voyage around the gaps rather than catching the same common fish for the tenth time.
This tracker records the first catch of each species. It does not track size, quality or star rating; those live in the game. Use the checklist to answer “have I seen this one?” and the Omnidex for “is this a MAX?”
How to complete the Omnidex
Start with the home planet. Catch the common, year-round species in each habitat before spending Star Anchors on islets. Then target the seasonal and islet-only creatures with a focused voyage. The [creature database](/wiki/creatures/) has the filters you need, and the [catching guide](/guides/creature-catching/) explains the tools and spawn conditions.

Frequently asked questions
How does the Petit Planet creature tracker work?
Check off any creature you have caught. The progress is saved in your browser's local storage, so it stays on this device without an account.
Does the tracker include all creatures?
Yes. It includes all 318 land, aquatic and shore creatures in the current database, with filters for type, quality and name.
Will my progress sync between devices?
No. Local storage is device-specific. Use the tracker on the device you play on, or keep a separate checklist.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
Your checklist progress will be deleted. The tracker is a convenience tool, not a permanent account record.
